Benefits of Turmeric in Ayurveda
Turmeric comes from the root of the Turmeric plant. It’s part of the ginger family, so it looks like a small ginger when fresh. You can buy it fresh or as dried ground powder.
In Ayurveda, turmeric is used to balance Vata, Pitta and Kapha. However, depending on the dose, it can aggravate Pitta.
